At the Forum Klinik in Cologne we strive to offer the most modern treatment available. But there is a word of caution: the techniques we offer must be safe and reliable and have passed the test of time before we include them in our armamentarium.

22.07.2010: Soft Wrinkle Treatment with special blunt cannulas prove to be of big advantage in facial rejuvenation with hyaluronic acid

One of the soft treatments for facial rejuvenation and wrinkle treatment is the subdermal application of hyaluronic acid. This treatment has proven to be very effective for the rejuvenation of the midface, the nasolabial fold, the tear-trough region and the lips. Coventionally the hyaluronic acid ( Common brand names are Juvederm ®  or Surgiderm ® ) was applied by sharp needles, sometimes leaving a haematoma.

09.03.2010: Breast enlargement without visible scars on the breast.

Dr.Hebold presented a lecture at the Congress for Plastic Surgery, Groningen, Netherlands. He talked about the first five years of experience with this new and safe technique in the Forum Klinik.

The technique was inaugurated by Henry Delmar in Cannes and offered in the Forum clinic since 2005. Anatomical implants are inserted via the axilla (armpit) using modern video equipement and endoscopic surgery.

24.02.2010: Dr. Konstanze Warbanow joins our team. She is specialized in breast enlargement with autologous fat cells

Since long, fat transfer has been recognized as a reliable technique for volumetric corrections in different parts of the body. But the female breast has been spared as a recipient site for free fat tissue transfer in the past.

Since now more than five years free fat transfer has been extensively used as an alternative technique for breast enlargement with safe and predictable results. Concerns have been possible microcalcifications that could mimic breast cancer. According to new data, this risk seems to be reasonably low.

02.02.2010: Alopecia Contentionalis

Over 70% of men and an increasing number of women suffer from hair loss, called alopecia. After ruling out hormonal disorders, a new treatment can be offered, if alopecia contentionalis is suspected.

What is alopecia contentionalis?

From resarch we know that hair follicles suffer from impaired blood flow if there is too much action of the muscles of the skull. We examine these muscles and, if a hyperactivity can be proven by EMG (Electromyography), a Botulinumtoxin-treatment can be considered.
